A little about me
I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in 2008, as a freshman in college. It really cramped my style! For years, I ignored my diagnosis completely and was considered a “frequent flyer” at the local hospital. While this did get me the best Jello from the nurses, I was sleepwalking through life.
One day I decided I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. So I decided to take control of my health and reclaim my life. I spent years researching and experimenting with the best ways to live my most vibrant and fabulous life.
When I was in a UC flare, they put me on a high dose of prednisone, which caused me to gain weight. I felt like I tried everything and became frustrated with the carrying around excess weight.
Through trial and error, I found what worked for me to get back to my goal weight, and I am excited to share my knowledge with you as well.
